Membership at Girls of Impact T&T

Girls of Impact T&T offers a structured membership journey designed to develop leaders, strengthen community engagement, and recognize meaningful participation through a clear progression system.

Stage 1: Community Applicant

This is the entry point for all prospective members.

Community Applicants are individuals who are exploring membership and actively engaging with the Girls of Impact community before becoming officially pinned members.

Purpose:

To provide a structured onboarding period where prospective members demonstrate interest, participation, and commitment.

Requirements (within 6 months):

  • Attend at least one official membership meeting
  • Volunteer at one Girls of Impact or external event/activity
  • Provide valid contact information (email and phone number)
  • Pay annual membership contribution (TTD $150)

Pinning Eligibility:

Community Applicants may only progress to Junior Member status after completing all requirements within 6 months. Failure to complete requirements results in inactive status.

Benefits:

  • Official Girls of Impact Membership Pin
  • Access to workshops, events, and opportunities
  • Recognition as an official member of the organization

Stage 2: Junior Member

Once all Community Applicant requirements are completed, members are formally pinned as Junior Members.

Annual Contribution:

TTD $150

Annual Requirements:

  • Attend at least two official membership meetings and/or organizational events
  • Volunteer at one Girls of Impact or external activity/event
  • Maintain active and responsive contact information
  • Remain aligned with organizational values

Stage 3: Senior Member

Senior Members represent leadership, consistency, and deep engagement within the organization.

Eligibility:

  • Minimum of one year as a Junior Member
  • Consistent attendance and payment of dues
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, or service

Annual Contribution:

TTD $250

Annual Responsibilities:

  • Attend at least two official membership meetings and/or events
  • Volunteer at one Girls of Impact or external activity/event
  • Lead or co-lead at least one initiative annually

  • Recognition across official platforms
  • Speaking opportunities
  • Senior Membership Pin (distinct design)

Membership Cycle & Contributions

Membership operates on a structured annual cycle:

  • Renewal periods: February 28 & August 31
  • Intake periods: January–February & July–August
  • New members must complete Stage 1 requirements within 6 months of acceptance
  • Membership contributions are required annually to remain in good standing

Pinning & Recognition

Girls of Impact T&T hosts two annual Pinning Ceremonies to formally recognize Junior and Senior Members.

To maintain the integrity of the pin, members must:

  • Complete all requirements within designated timelines
  • Demonstrate active participation
  • Maintain verified contact information

The Girls of Impact pin represents earned belonging, commitment, and leadership.
