Accelerate Her was created in 2022 to help bridge the gap between young women and the professional guidance, networks and opportunities that can shape their educational and career journeys.
Since then, the programme has evolved beyond traditional mentorship into a comprehensive personal, professional and leadership development experience.
Each cohort brings together ambitious young women and experienced professionals from diverse sectors and backgrounds.
Over the course of the programme, participants strengthen practical career skills, explore their personal and professional goals, build meaningful relationships and gain opportunities to put their leadership into action.
At its heart, Accelerate Her is about ensuring that young women do not have to navigate their futures alone.
The Accelerate Her Experience
MENTOR
Learn from someone who has walked the path.
Participants are connected with experienced professionals who provide guidance, share their experiences and support mentees as they navigate educational, personal and professional decisions.
Mentorship creates something workshops alone cannot: access to individual guidance, perspective and relationships.
DEVELOP
Build skills for the real world.
Participants take part in interactive workshops and development sessions designed around the practical skills young women need to navigate careers and leadership.
Topics may include career readiness, leadership, communication, CV & interview preparation, financial literacy and personal branding.
Workshop themes may vary between cohorts to respond to the needs of participants and the changing world of work.
CONNECT
Build relationships that extend beyond the programme.
Accelerate Her creates opportunities for participants to connect with professionals, mentors, organisations and other ambitious young women.
Through mentorship, networking and cohort activities, participants begin building the professional and peer networks that can support them throughout their journeys.
EXPERIENCE
Gain exposure beyond the classroom.
Where possible, participants engage in practical career-development experiences that provide insight into different professions, workplaces and pathways.
These experiences may include career conversations, professional panels, networking sessions, workplace exposure and our Accelerate Her Career Summit.

Accelerate Her doesn’t end with personal development.
Participants are encouraged to put their skills, creativity and leadership into practice through Community Impact Projects that respond to real needs within schools and communities.
Working in teams, participants move from identifying a challenge to developing and implementing a solution.
This is where mentorship and leadership become action.

We believe the impact of Accelerate Her should extend beyond the young women who participate.
Through Community Impact Projects, participants use the knowledge, networks and leadership skills developed throughout the programme to create positive change for others.
Projects have addressed needs within schools and communities, allowing participants to experience first-hand what it means to identify a problem, mobilise resources, work collaboratively and deliver a solution.
