Media Release: Girls of Impact Hosts Inaugural Glow Girl Burn Fundraiser
On Saturday 1st February 2025, the Girls of Impact hosted its first (1st ) fundraising event titled “Glow Girl Burn” Aerobics Burnout competition , at Bush Mountain at the Cascadia Hotel in St. Ann’s, Trinidad from 5:00pm to 7:30pm. This event, which was collaboration with First Lady Fit and Wellness Company and Bush Mountain TT, saw approximately forty (40) participants in attendance.
The energy packed glow aerobics competition was led by Ms. Jessica James of First Lady Fit and Wellness, and included a host of treats for all registered participants including goody bags, glow bands, refreshments , as well as, access to a medical doctor onboard for the duration of the competition. The proceeds from this event will facilitate the conduct of several upcoming programmes to benefit the young women of Trinidad and Tobago.
Members of the Board and Executive of the GOI, as well as, several volunteers, were present to ensure the effective coordination of the event. Participants expressed delight and excitement for the event’s structure and expressed interest in future participation.

Individual prizes were awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Winners and three (3) special awards were distributed for the following categories:
- Outstanding Child/ Young woman – Future Glow Leader
- Outstanding Male
- Best Effort / Determined Spirit Award
