Celebrating Our Founder: Renee Atwell Receives the Queen Elizabeth II Commonwealth Trust Young Leader Award 2026

Girls of Impact T&T is proud to celebrate our Founder and Executive Director, Renee Atwell, on receiving the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Commonwealth Trust Young Leader Award 2026.

Renee was presented with the award during the King’s Garden Party hosted by the British High Commission in Port of Spain on Tuesday 9th June 2026. The event brought together distinguished guests, community leaders, and changemakers from across Trinidad and Tobago to recognize outstanding contributions to society.

The Queen Elizabeth II Commonwealth Trust Young Leader Award recognizes exceptional young leaders across the Commonwealth who are creating meaningful impact within their communities. Renee’s recognition is a testament to her unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, leadership development, and advancing opportunities for young women throughout Trinidad and Tobago.

Through Girls of Impact, Renee has dedicated countless hours to mentoring, advocating for, and creating transformative opportunities for young women. Under her leadership, the organization has grown into a platform that equips girls and young women with the skills, confidence, and support needed to become leaders in their communities and careers.

From mentorship programmes and leadership training initiatives to community outreach and advocacy efforts, Renee’s vision continues to inspire positive change and empower the next generation of women leaders.
