Girls of Impact Receives 100+ Menstrual Products from RBC Caribbean Banking Women’s ERG

7th September 2026

Girls of Impact has received a donation of more than 100 menstrual products from RBC Caribbean Banking’s Women’s Employee Resource Group (ERG) to support women and girls within the communities we serve.

The donation follows a successful menstrual product drive undertaken by the Events & Community arm of RBC Caribbean Banking’s Women’s ERG as part of its wider commitment to addressing period poverty and supporting women and girls across the Caribbean.

Recognising the work of Girls of Impact in empowering young women and girls in Trinidad and Tobago, the RBC team reached out to explore a collaboration through which Girls of Impact could assist with distributing menstrual products to communities within our network.

Supporting Menstrual Dignity

Period poverty remains an important issue for women and girls, particularly those who may experience difficulty consistently accessing menstrual hygiene products.

While Girls of Impact is widely known for our work in mentorship, leadership development, career development, climate advocacy and community service, we also recognise that empowering young women requires us to consider the practical barriers that can affect their ability to participate fully and confidently in education, work and community life.

Access to menstrual products is connected to dignity, health, equality and opportunity.

The products received from RBC will therefore be distributed through Girls of Impact’s programmes and community outreach efforts, helping to ensure that they reach women and girls who can benefit from them.

The Power of Partnership

Girls of Impact believes strongly in the power of partnerships to create sustainable and meaningful change.

The collaboration with RBC Caribbean Banking’s Women’s ERG demonstrates how the private sector and civil society can work together to respond to community needs. By combining resources, networks and a shared commitment to the advancement of women and girls, partnerships such as these allow us to extend our collective impact.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the RBC Caribbean Banking Women’s Employee Resource Group for recognising Girls of Impact as a trusted community partner and for entrusting us with the distribution of these products.

We look forward to continuing to build partnerships that not only empower young women to lead and succeed, but also address the everyday challenges affecting women and girls across Trinidad and Tobago.

Together, we can create communities in which every young woman has the resources, opportunities and support she needs to thrive.
