Girls of Impact Joins the Global Call: 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence
Each year, from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day), the world unites for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a powerful global campaign to raise awareness, inspire action, and call for an end to all forms of violence against women and girls.
This year, Girls of Impact T&T in collaboration with the Willow Foundation is proud to be part of this movement through two key initiatives that bring advocacy to life:
Digital Awareness Campaign
We’re launching a digital campaign designed to amplify youth voices, challenge harmful norms, and promote safe, respectful online spaces for girls. Through social media storytelling, videos, and awareness posts, we’ll highlight real stories, practical tools, and ways young people can be part of the change, both online and offline.
School Outreach: San Juan North Secondary School
We’ll also be taking the conversation directly to young people through a school outreach activity at San Juan North Secondary School, engaging students in open dialogue about gender-based violence, respect, consent, and how they can become advocates for equality within their schools and communities.
Together, these initiatives reflect our continued commitment to empower, educate, and equip young women and men to stand against all forms of violence and discrimination.
Let’s break the silence. Let’s take action. Let’s stand together for equality.
